tale of the wood choppers

The tale of the 2 wood choppers

There were 2 wood choppers. Each took one side of the forest and kept working to chop the trees down

1 of them worked continuously

The other stopped every hour for 15 minutes

At the end of day they looked at whose pile was largest

The one who stopped every 15 minutes had a much larger pile

The first wood chopper asked the other

” how is this even possible, when I worked so hard and you took 15 minute breaks every hour ?”

The other wood chopper replied

” it was because when I was resting I was sharpening my axe”

The moral of the story is that when we give ourselves time to pause, reflect and simply BE we are not only innovative, but creative.

We allow for the essence of who we are to come forth.

We give ourselves permission to grow in the pause and evolve

REST is not laziness

REST is HONORING that which we need to take to the next level

From someone who lived his life at 200mph, believe me that the rest moments are vital for spiritual, mental, physical health and well being

Use that rest to MEDITATE, SELF CARE, SELF REFLECTION and UNDERSTANDING

It will SERVE you well to improve your longevity

Just BE

Allow the universe to own through you and not hinder it

Every great symphony has a pause in the music… experience it

We are human BEings, not human DOings
