An interesting story.
There once was a man who was walking down a path and he accidentally fell into a well. From the bottom he kept yelling for hours hoping someone would hear him and help him.
Along came a doctor who heard his plea and looked down into the well.
“ Please help me” the poor man said.
The doctor wrote a prescription and through it down to him, and walked away.
More time passed and a priest passed by and heard his plea, and he looked down into the well.
“ Please help me” the poor man said.
The priest said a prayer and blessing for the man and walked away.
A few hours later, another man was passing by and he heard the plea.
“ Please help me” the poor man said.
This time the man jumped into the well.
“ What did you do that for? Now we are both stuck here”, said the helpless man.
“ Ah, not quite, I have been down this well before and I know how to get out !” Replied the stranger.
Each of us have struggles, pains, fears, challenges, losses and trials. This is human nature. A part of Life, and in this life, the school for the soul has given us each unique and similar lessons to learn and grow from. Whether it is in relationships, our careers, our families, our health or our finances, the stories maybe different but the lessons are the same.
It is wise to remember that each of us are struggling, some quietly within, and some openly. Yet each of us can help someone else, especially if we have dealt with that lesson and know how to fix the situation. Or perhaps just to offer listening to help draw the poison and ease the pain of the hard challenge being experienced.
Think of it like having graduated to the next level in school and helping your fellow comrades in the year behind. You would happily help them would you not? Giving them suggestions for their classes, what books to get, what study habits to cultivate for the lessons ahead and so on. This is the same nature of helping a fellow human being. We have unfortunately all to forgotten the art of helping, and think that every beggar or homeless person is a scoundrel. Yet it is not till we have experienced a day or life in their shoes, nay in their feet, do we not comprehend the lessons of being human still have to teach us.
Spread the love and help, you never know when you will need someone else’s help.
……………
I love you
