Halloween has come and gone, yet there was one visitor that got my attention out of the hundreds of kids that descended upon my door step in search for a treat.
A little princess with tiara and a sparkly dress approached cautiously towards my door step and rang the bell. I opened the door with a big smile and I heard a tiny voice say “ Trick or Treat ?” I brought out the box of never ending chocolates and candy gummies for her to pick, as so many of her predecessors had done before her.
She turned to check on her parents who were standing patiently in the lawn for her to ceremoniously find her magic treat, as all fantasy costumed crusaders are accustomed in doing. She peered into the box with much grace. Her attention came to the one little flower that had fallen into the box, as it may have been bumped off its stem by other kids who may have accidentally hit it in a hurry to grab and go.
She gently picked up the purple flower as she announced “ look a beautiful flower”. And seemingly time had stopped still as she attentively looked at the flower in her little hand. Satisfied she forgot all about the sugary treats and turned around and started to walk away and said “ bye” to me. I was astonished. This child was more interested in a tiny flower than a dopamine raging treat. She was completely in her element. I think the word my confused brain was looking for was innocent. Yes that was it. All I could blurt out was “ Happy Halloween” and “ you can still take some treat too.”
She stopped, and turned back towards the box and still holding onto the flower in her right hand she nonchalantly isolated the first candy that touched her fingers. She could not care less about the treat. She was most enthralled by the wondrous treasure that only she could locate. It was as if it was meant for her and had been waiting for her to find.
I contemplated on this deeply. When we look for something deeply with clear intention from our hearts we will find it. When we have a pure thought we attract that which we seek. Off all the kids who passed over the little flower and rummaged around in the box yet only this individual found it. Her goal was singular and came from the heart. Everyone else were on a mission of hoarding chocolates and treats, but this little person was on a different path.
I wondered how we each have that same gift of focussing our attention onto what we truly desire and are able to manifest it. This was illustrated by this young visitor. Love is the lens through which all things are created. The heart amplifies this energy into the universe and from which all things are manifest. Pure intention defines this energy with clarity.
…………
I love you
