Remember the whole Coldplay/cheating incident? No? Not surprised, just like every trend, it has flowed on in the river of the internet. Yet the lessons have been pushed deeper into the consciousness of society and a weak scab as been replaced a wound of healing that was much needed in our civilization, and now largely ignored. The internet lost its mind with the awkward embrace of the CEO and his head of HR. Where are they now? Who cares apart from their immediate families?

Some say it was a staged media manipulation filled with distractions from other serious issues, some believe that it was a trick by the spouses to expose the cheated. Yet regardless the machinery of media thrives on sharing morally charged, emotionally reactive and negative sensations to control the narrative, to poke the visceral natures of our beings for its own merriment and ratings. Shallow stories, public downfalls and scandals are the darlings of media.

The underlying currents of our mindsets that hijack our attentions were swept under the rug. Without any substance to matter, we will scroll endlessly, without meaning we settle for the shallow. We have forgotten the foundations of marriage, where it is easier to cheat than fix the issues at hand. Leadership and credibility are lost in the workplace with overbearing and mistrusting bosses. Integrity and faith are abandoned in the sanctity of a marriage. Sin promises secrecy yet delivers damage. We say one thing and do another. Deceit. The cardinal blow that dissolves morality.

These are just a few of the sentinel pillars of our society that need addressing, that are degrading each day with the passing of this age. Soon the foundations will have been broken due to negligence and by the apathy of our very own attentions as we roam the media landscape aimlessly, like vagabonds of our morality among the dissolution of our fabric of humanity.

All is not hopeless if we value authenticity, integrity and love that can repair the threads of our lives and weave us back to our own forgotten divinity.
