I love New York City. Some enjoy it for the innumerable eateries. Some for the touristic attractions, some for the vibe and the energies of the city. Some for the tall buildings and lovely architecture. I once thought that I would enjoy the styles of the architects, but over the years I have found a different interest.

It is not about the buildings, but the SPACE in between them that I am most fascinated with. More specifically the negative space between them as viewed from the ground level. Each cluster of buildings creates a geometric shape that is unique. No two negative spaces are alike. In fact like a fingerprint of the concrete jungle they are fascinating.

This idea extends to many things in life. It is the space in-between that sheds the most light. The pause between moments is where the magic lies. All energy follows a wave format, and so it is at the zero point of the wave where the stillness holds all potential that is released, ( the in-between).

When we listen to music it is not the notes that give the characteristic of the musical pieces but the pause between the notes that enchants us. It is in-between the brush strokes of a painting that cumulatively portrays the artistic work. Truth only is found in between the lies. In chess, it is not the pieces and their movement that matters as much as the strategy that is born in between the moves.

So the negative space in everything is where all magic, potential and mystery lies. The silence. The stillness. It is here, in the in-between that all life stems. When we rest from moment to moment we are able to better explore the world around us, otherwise we tire ourselves out. It is in this space that we gather our strength to do amazing things. Consciousness exists in the 90% of space in each cell, not in the DNA.

While others enjoy the cities, I will explore the negative spaces of all things, for that is where divinity resides, in the silence, in the zero-point. It is in the negative space where all love hides in plain sight.

I love you
