My coach always told me “don’t half ass anything, always full ass it”. I always thought that it was an odd saying, but I knew what the intention was behind it, to not just do anything with half the effort, always give the full effort. So this got me thinking the other day, where else does half ass versus full ass apply. It is wise to not to engage with only half friends or indulge in half talented works.

Never be engaged with only half lovers. Never only laugh half heartedly but instead with the whole heart and body. One must not half mask one’s thoughts but be transparent with clarity. Too often we accept half a solution instead of understanding the full question in its entirety. This unfortunately leads to us believing full lies while dealing with half truths instead of searching for the ultimate truth of life.

We live half hopes creating full fantasies and nightmares without pursuing our goals with full inspiration. We stop short half way in our true journey instead of our full destiny, by selling away half our dreams. We drink only half a glass of water to quench only half our thirst. We always seem to be rushing yet only half arriving at our destination. We speak only half sentences without full meaning.

Many only give half the energy at a work they do not enjoy instead of giving their full focus in a task or career that inspires them. We may at times each only half a meal without enjoying the full dining experience. Going half way will not get one anywhere. When we postpone an idea, we only half bring it into manifestation. When we speak we are asked to speak fully and not half cut off our ideas. The other half that we do not love is the other half of ourselves.

We are only half weak when we do not harness our full strength. We only half frown when we do not choose to show our sadness or reveal half a smile when we hide our happiness. We are only half present to any situation instead of giving every circumstance our full attention. We remain half silent when we hear a lie, but remain half vocal when we hear a truth.

Do not half love yourself or others but love love unconditionally. One is invited to never accept half a life lest they die half a death. Live a full life, laugh completely, love entirely. Remember that each of us are a WHOLE being trying to live a WHOLE existence.
